What do you want to be when you grow up? When I grow up, I'd like to work for some sustainable living organization, creating community gardens and implementing edible landscaping into the town I live in and/or places that I visit. But that's of course only going to happen once I've gotten most of the surf itch off my skin.

What is wrong with people these days? Sheesh, people these days! Nah, I guess maybe one thing that is wrong with people is their excessive consumption of unnecessary material goods.

Where would you live is you could move today? If I told you... then I'd have to kill you.

What would you be doing right now if you had $2 million in the bank? I'd keep some of it for buying land and the rest I'd divvy up for my friends so they could surf more and work less.

Who is the biggest idiot you know? George W. Poor thing has so much power and it's all being turned into negativity.

What's the dumbest diet you have ever been on? Diet?! Hmmm, I guess I've been trying to convince myself that one serving of chocolate is a necessary component of every meal, is that dumb?

What exactly is a Kook? A kook to me is someone who disrespects the ocean ecosystem, including the plants, animals, and humans that dwell there.

Has surfing become overpublicized? I don't really think so, it seems like there are plenty of other sports or lifestyles that get more publicity i.e. baseball.

Have you ever shot a gun? If so, tell us about it? Yeah, my brother used to have a BB gun and we'd line up cans in the backyard and shoot em. But I was never really that stoked on it, so it didn't last.

What's your style? Ooh my style, um... pretty chill, laid back. Wait, surfing style? Or around town? I guess just in general my style is pretty random, kinda sporadic. You heard that India Irie song, "No matter how the wind blows, I might even paaaint my toes."

Can you tell when a person is phony? If so, how long does it take you to figure it out? I guess I always like to give people a chance beyond the first impression, but a lot of times I can just tell right away.

What's your best attribute? Understanding.

What is the lamest word in the American vocabulary? Tranny. I guess I associate it with anger. Growing up on the east side and hearing it out in the water everyday, it usually just led to fights, and now just makes my stomach turn.

What's your favorite city in the world? Santa Cruz, but if that doesn't count as a city, then probably San Francisco.

How many car accidents have you caused? I crashed my car once in New Zealand, but no other cars were involved and no one got hurt so that was good. It still ran too, but the steering was a little off. I ended up driving it into the ocean later on, but that's a whole other story.

Longest you were ever grounded as a teen? What did you do? I never really got grounded, my parents were pretty chill.

First car? Where did you get it? Did it have a name? 73 VW Bug. Man, I miss that car. It was my mom's when she was my age. It was such a fun car to drive. My friends and I would all pile in the bug and bomb down to the beaches on small days. It just wasn't a good long distance car so I gave it back to my mom and got a Toyota.
